The BRP Outlander XT is an Absolute Winner!
If there's anything that the Bombardier BRP Outlander 800 H.O. EFI XT doesn't do, it's race motocross. Does it matter? Not really!
It certainly wasn't love at first sight, so, don't expect it. Many people who have come across the BRP Outlander XT weren't truly impressed with it. I mean, when you compare the machine to other more 'fashionable', 'colorful', and trendy ATVs, the BRP Outlander XT sure doesn't stand a chance. In fact, we thought it looked pretty much like a Hummer...and it's not a good thing. But one thing's for sure, despite it's initial appearance, this thing PERFORMS!
The BRP Outlander XT looks like a monster in ATV terms and the fact remains that it climbs like one! And when you're in a race, it makes all the difference in the world. This ATV does not feel big or heavy despite its size. And once you've gotten the hang of being looked at funny because you're riding one of the least 'fashionable' ATVs around, you'll soon feel the sense of pride in the ATV.
And one of the best things about the BRP Outlander XT is that it takes off swiftly and smoothly...and then lands like feather on the ground. A bumpy landing is the last thing you would want when you're riding a rough terrain because it might topple the ATV...with you on it.
If you keep the ATV well-maintained, you'll never dream of riding another ATV again because the BRP Outlander XT has such well-balanced suspension that it takes all bumps and grinds very well. With a smoother ride, you can definitely double-up your race time. By the time the other riders are riding their bums, you're still twirling around on the track!
For youths who are well-trained and experienced in ATV riding, they'll totally dig this 62HP ATV. Managing The BRP Outlander XT is also extremely easy. The transmission between gears and reverse comes in Auto mode. And of course, it's a plus when we noticed that when you start the engine up, there's absolutely no choking. It's a really suave ATV. Think we got lucky with a brand new ATV? We tried a couple more different BRP Outlander XTs and it all started smoothly.
This machine is placed among some of the most recommended ATVs in the world. Therefore, even if you can't afford it or don't like the design, here's what we have to say...if you're a real ATV enthusiast, you'll have to try to ride it at least once in this lifetime. You won't regret it.

I Want To Buy A Kids ATV Quad For My Child But Is It Safe?
This is the tough question that parents must face when purchasing a kids youth ATV.
Is it safe for my child to ride an ATV? Like anything else there are certain risks involved and elements of danger. A bicycle is dangerous and can cause injury, a skateboard, a trampoline and even walking to school. Parents tell their children to ride a helmet when riding a bike and staying on the bike path and away from cars. This is how parents manage risk and minimize injury The same approach needs to be followed with ATV riding.
First, buy an appropriate sized ATV. Extreme Motor Sales has ATV's from 50cc - 110cc for youth ATVs. All too often parent's want to buy an ATV that is too powerful and too large for children. The reason they give?, "I want him or her to grow into that ATV so I don't have to buy another so soon". Extreme Motor Sales' ATV's are so reasonably priced that you can purchase a 50cc ATV for 0.00. Allow your child to learn how to ride on a size appropriate ATV or Dirt Bike and once they have mastered the mechanics for safe ATV quad riding ,move them up in size. Most ATV's come with fantastic safety features to keep your child safe while learning to ride such as throttle limiters or governors', which is a small screw attached to the throttle box that allows you to limit the speed of the quad ATV. Tighten the screw down and the ATV can be slowed down to a maximum of 5 MPH, loosen it to increase the speed as the child becomes more experienced. Also available are ATVs with remote controls, the remote allows you to start, stop and set an audible alarm on the ATV. If the child is driving towards a dangerous area and you want them to stop, you don't have to yell or chase them down, just hit the stop button also known as remote kill switch and the engine shuts off and the ATV comes to a gradual stop. Another safety feature are foot wells, which are foot guards that connect from the front wheel fender to the rear wheel fender, that prevent children from putting their feet down and getting tangled in with the wheels. Remember the old 3-wheelers, they only had foot pegs, and if you put your foot down the rear wheel could and did run over them causing injury. Not the case any more.
Next, think safety gear. Use a recommended, quality dot, Department of Transportation approved helmet. Our dot youth helmets start at .00. There is no substitute for adult supervision to keep children safe while riding. Do not allow kids to ride passengers at any time.
